Visual Associate Needed for our location in New York City!

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Visual Manager,the Visual Associate provides solutions to store specific visual and merchandising challenges using brand standards and corporate visual guidelines to maintain brand integrity. The Visual Associate adapts corporate visual direction based on individual store need and inventory levels and drives sales through strategic merchandise placement and compelling displays.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide a consistent customer experience by maintaining brand standards for visual presentation, cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

* Ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor in full size runs and proper signage is present.

* Partner with management to prepare for and implement seasonal merchandising presentations and new visual merchandising initiatives.

* Partner with store management team to monitor merchandise sell through and replenishment utilizing sales reports.

* Create visually appealing and brand appropriate displays to drive sell through and react to the needs of the business in the store.

* Adjust lighting to highlight merchandise and displays per company standard.

* Pro-actively manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the U.N.I.Q.L.O. service standard, following the Uniqlo Fundamental Principles and saying the 6 standard phrases.

* Provide product and brand knowledge to employees and customers.

* Follow all company policy and procedure & notify management of any infractions

* Assist management to identify and resolve issues in the store.

* Support store team to meet and exceed sales goals.

* Assist with special projects as assigned by management

Required Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to create compelling visual presentations according to company guidelines and brand standards.

* Ability to drive sales through effective merchandise placement and display.

* Excellent eye for detail

* Ability to offer solutions to store specific visual and merchandising challenges using brand standards and HQ direction as a guideline

* Ability to identify potential visual merchandising opportunities and provide creative solutions.

* Ability to work within teams and create partnerships

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a sense of urgency.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

* Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull or move objects of at least 25 pounds

* Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom by repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing

Schedule Requirements :

* Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends

Experience:

Position Overview:

The Window and Styling Manager will oversee the visual and merchandising for our US retail store locations. The Manager will adapt corporate visual direction based on store need and inventory levels and drives sales through strategic merchandise placement and compelling displays. This role reports to the Senior Director of Visual Merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage window project development from initiation to closure. Ensure visually appealing and brand appropriate displays are created and updated to drive sell through and maximize the business. Partner with Store Managers to identify and resolve issues in the store, specifically decisions that have an impact on sales and workload. Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed. Be accountable for choosing which vendor works best for projects. Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution. Responsible for styling and knowing current fashion trends in the industry and how they apply to the brand. Communicate fashion awareness to all team members. Lead workshops for all store managers and supporting team members on dressing mannequins. In charge of weekly display news and seasonal manual to contribute to all US stores. Assume the role of other managers in their absence. Physically work with the visual team on campaign set ups to train for future development. Give feedback on a weekly basis to all store team on styling and window maintenance to Area Manager and Visual Manager. Controls all Budget for all US window Displays.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree - Fashion Merchandising, Visual Display 5+ years of relevant expereince in creating Visual Merchandising, Window Display & Styling directives

The Area Visual Manager at UNIQLO is responsible for creating a strong partnership with the US Visual Merchandising Team and Store Operations Team to oversee the rollout and execution of VM direction within his/her assigned area. We are currently searching for a Visual Area Manager for our NYC Flagship stores.

Responsibilities:
Ownership of the implementation and maintenance of current UNIQLO visual standards/guidelines in assigned area of stores; ensure implementations create a strong on-brand presentation all while achieving desired sales results & business growth. Conduct store visits to drive a consistent UNIQLO brand message among stores. Provide home-office Creative & Merchandising teams with regular feedback / photos of the store(s) to ensure standards are being met and maintained. Partner with product managers to fine-tune merchandising based on their category’s business needs. Partner with Store Development on store maintenance issues impacting brand image. Attend visual trainings, and communicate all new standards/information to store teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Retail management experience At least one (1) year of multi-unit visual merchandise management experience; ideally in a large-format apparel environment. Strong creative & visual skills; honed sense of style / color with attention to detail. Global viewpoint and cultural sensitivity & flexibility are a must. Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to form partnerships to collaborate, influence and impact change. Ability to travel; 60%+ expected.
