My client is looking for a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to work for them inSakhalinon a 7/3 rotation. Net day rate accommodation all transport provided.

The successful candidate is required to fill the position as soon as mobilisation allows.

The position is based inSakhalin,Russiaon a 12 month project.

The candidate will be required to complete and 7/3 rotation.

Detailed Job Description

Focal point responsibilities for all Civil design services to Client ranging from conceptual, front-end, detailed design, as built and close-out.

Principal Responsibilities

Single Point responsibility for the integrity and quality of work within the Civil/Structural Engineering discipline.

Managing the resources and staff with discipline.

Ensure effective communication and interface definition between all disciplines for design development, review and check progresses.

Represent company in coordination with Client discipline for monitoring and variance control of Client standards. Ensure robust challenge of company standards as part of normal working practice.

Identify potential applications for new technologies in discipline area.

Actively train and encourage the development of Russian and junior engineering staff to fulfil discipline engineering role providing Competency Assessment, Staff Mentoring, On theJob Training (OJT), and arranging discipline specialist courses

Review and control any discipline design work carried out by third parties vendors or Russian Design Institutes (RDIs).

Lead discipline specific design reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, IPF etc) and participate in other discipline design reviews as appropriate.

Provide Competency Assessment, Staff Mentoring, On theJob Training (OJT), discipline specialist courses and involvement during commissioning to progress the development of competencies and skills of civil engineers and technicians.

Skills/Qualifications

Structural Analysis / Primary Steel and Structural Design / General Technical.

Project Scopes (EPC, FEED, Brownfield, preferablyNorth Seaexperience).

Materials of Construction.

Have good understanding of Structural Steel Specifications and DEP’s

Knowledge of Russian Specifications advantageous

Excellent team building and Ability to train and develop others

Fluent spoken and written English

Knowledge of Russian an advantage and should demonstrate willingness to learn Russian important

Full conversant with relevant International standards

Due to extensive use of European standards, must have proven successful experience for large European clients with facilities built in UK/Europe to UK/European standards
