PROGRAM ANALYST - MELE Associates, Inc. - Washington, DC

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Position will provide technical program analysis to NA-241 for managing the nuclear standards and infrastructure portfolio for the Next Generation Safeguards Initiative (NGSI) program and safeguards technology development subprogram. Technical support will be provided for the following:
Manage the Russia portfolio for technical safeguards engagement efforts for the NGSI International Nuclear Safeguards Engagement Program (INSEP). Manage and coordinate funding for the preservation, production and certification of key (U-233/Pu-244) certified reference materials. Develop the annual proposal call with key stakeholders, evaluate proposal to ensure projects meet US objectives and needs of pressing international safeguards issues, and recommend funding allocations. Manage the multi-million dollar budget and project monthly costs. Draft program information and outreach products for internal and external audiences. Provide key support to the U.S. Mission to International Organizations (e.g. IAEA) to include providing logistical support and preparation for all technical papers and bilateral issue papers for bilateral meetings, for the U.S. Secretary of Energy, key senior U.S. Government Officials and foreign counterparts. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Master's Degree in chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering or physical science Active Q or TS clearance Strong experience in developing nuclear detector technology Knowledge of nonproliferation and IAEA safeguards Experience managing complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders Knowledge of the DOE/NNSA national laboratory complex Experience working in a commercial nuclear facility and/or the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
