Business Financial Controller (BMO CONTROLLER)
Role Purpose
Drive a culture of profitable revenue growth for the RUSSIA BMO (Business Marketing and Operations) team and across the RUSSIA Subsidiary through timely, accurate and insightful financial and business analysis. This role will take ownership of increasing the level of rigor, predictability, accountability and visibility of finance processes (reporting, forecasting and planning) within the BMO and across the subsidiary. The aims being that BMO Management live and breathe their numbers and are able to understand and articulate the story behind the numbers (SBTN). This person will be heavily relied on by the BMO and their Management team, as well as the Finance Director, Subsidiary GM, and other segment organizations in the Russia.
The right candidate has a degree and or preferably an MBA. They are experienced with American matrix multinational environment and culture. They have at least one meaningful, successful experience with IT industry and/or consulting and/or IT market research (Gartner etc) . They are very business driven, and have great familiarity with analysis of the competition, market share play, business modeling, go to market, marketing investment strategy, product revenue. They are also an excellent orchestrator, very familiar with running financial and business rhythms with many stakeholders. Sharp and dynamic, they thrive in a complex business environment. Excellent presentation skills and proven successful business partnership. They should have excellent proven people manager experience and great soft skills.
Key Commitments
Grow the Business Profitably
Driving the finance rhythm within the BMO and across the Russia necessary for the business to achieve its goals.
Build on the SBTN and translate this into forward looking narratives and forecasts
which incorporate: recovery plans; exploiting opportunities; and which align with underlying Business and Market Insight.
Integral member of the BMO Management team. Leading financial discussions in Management meetings plus be an active participant in discussions on non-finance related topics and issues.
Focus on the full subsidiary P&L to drive cost efficacy, maintain COS %, and be an integral part of BMO and subsidiary decision making when it comes to resource allocation and decision support.
Become the Russia expert in progressive measurement and management schemes such as RPS.
Drive Finance & Business Excellence
Manage the reporting of accurate and timely results that provide insightful commentary to BMO Management, such that they in turn can drive informed business decisions and actions.
Build out the reporting infrastructure and foundation that can be leveraged by both within the BMO as well as other Segment organizations in the Russia.
Partner with Subsidiary leadership to provide transparency, predictability and accuracy of the subsidiary forecasts. Manage the complex matrix relationship necessary to align BG forecasts with segment forecasts.
Revenue Planning. Drive a robust and supportable financial plan during MYR and Planning that aligns with the long-term goals of the Russia subsidiary across the BGs and segments

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1) Essential Experience
Professional accounting qualification desired with strong demonstrable post qualified experience ideally. If missing must have other qualification in business or finance-orientated area. Demonstrable experience within a business environment with experience of supporting a management team. Strong management skills and a demonstrated ability to drive the effective implementation of procedures and policies to support operational business requirements across regional and organizational boundaries.
2) Technical /Functional Skills
Effective communicator - both 1:1 & 1:many, verbal and written; Excellent relationship building skills; Strong analytical skills - ability to distil simplicity from complexity; Good sense of perspective - ability to switch between attention to detail and big picture; Good Excel skills

Good degree; preference for recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or MBA with demonstrable post qualified experience.
