GM Field Marketing, APAC RegionThe GM, Field Marketing will be a smart, results-oriented, and collaborative marketing executive with international experience. This executive will be expected to be a high-energy leader with a strong presence and outstanding communications skills. A proven track record of marketing success and comfort operating in a large, complex, global organizations are essential. He/she must be solutions-oriented and able to create and communicate a vision, achieve necessary buy-in, keep people informed, and execute a plan. He/she must be very bright and analytical and have the utmost integrity.

The next 12-18 months present an opportunity to grow significantly and to capture additional market share. This assignment will address the need for a highly experienced and skilled marketing executive to help position GEHC IT Solutions for and to drive growth throughout the region.

The GM Field Marketing, GEHC IT will report to Sean Burke, Chief Marketing Officer, Healthcare IT, and to Clarence Wu, GM Healthcare IT Asia. The GM, Field Marketing-APAC Region will be responsible for global marketing strategy, competitive intelligence, segmentation, pricing, lead generation and validation, product planning, product launches, marketing programs, and advertising and events for a the Region.

The GM, Field Marketing-APAC Region will work closely with global product marketing, market research, product management, sales, product development, and the other Regions to drive results and market presence for the business. He/She will create an integrated business-wide marketing strategy and related programs.

More specifically, the GM, Field Marketing-APAC Region will:
• Be a true business partner to region senior management, and sales teams.
• Be a proactive force in helping the organization position itself to grow revenue profitably.
• Instill marketing principles, discipline, and accountability throughout the organization.
• Ensure an effective go-to-market strategy including product launches.
• Develop the organization’s capabilities in competitive intelligence, segmentation, pricing, and lead generation and validation for the region.
• Communicate the business’ strategy and vision internally and externally.
• Establish and optimize operational marketing processes.
• Assist in driving revenue growth through lead generation and mobilization of the field marketing team.
• Manage a dedicated, results-oriented region marketing team. Evaluate the team continuously to create a team that is appropriate to the business challenges.
• Help continue to create a climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels.
• Gain the trust and confidence of the company’s stakeholders and demonstrate leadership values and integrity.

Critical First Year Deliverables
• Develop a marketing strategy that aligns with and enhances the region’s overall strategy and business objectives.
• Imbue marketing principles throughout the business and serve as marketing “coach” to the region leadership team.
• Working with Marketing COE and Marketing Operations, develop processes and tools to ensure seamless go-to-market activities, product launches, and marketing programs.
• Continue to drive a results- and metrics-oriented approach to marketing within the unit.
• Collaborate with the business, product, and sales leaders to ensure product investment decisions, positioning, selling, and servicing are closely aligned.

Education
• Undergraduate degree required

Experience
The ideal candidate will be a marketing leader in a large, global technology-oriented company with a healthcare focus. He/She will understand how to leverage marketing to drive growth in market share, sales, customer satisfaction, and operating margins.
Specifically, the GM, Field Marketing – APAC Region will possess:
• Experience leading marketing strategy and go-to-market for a global, technology-oriented company. Ideally, he/she will have knowledge of the healthcare industry.
• A proven track record of instilling marketing discipline and accountability within a global business.
• Commercialization experience with a focus on building market awareness and go-to-market strategy and execution.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying processes, tools, and metrics to drive marketing accountability, transparency, and results.
• A best practices mentality and ability to incorporate best practices into the marketing organization.
• Business and financial acumen.
• An inclusive leadership style with a focus on personal involvement, trust, and flexibility.
• Leadership skills that will help cultivate a culture of GE Growth Values and integrity.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• An ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages.
