Along with the functional expansion in depth and breadth of the Business Applications, Microsoft Dynamics is taking the ERP Business globally in order to compete and win in the major and strategic markets around the globe. In order to succeed in this mission, the Global Financial Management team (GFM) provides the globalization and localization development necessary to adapt the Microsoft Dynamics ERP products to the specific local needs and develops features to increase the local competiveness of the Dynamics products. The primary mandate of the GFM team is identifying, prioritizing, designing and delivering the regulatory features needed to operate our business applications in the supported countries as well as delivering selected local best practices and accounting rules according to the National GAAP. The Principal Program Manager Lead manages our teams of Dynamics AX PMs in Europe and Russia and will be based in Copenhagen or in Moscow. As a senior member of the GFM Leadership Team for these regions, you will be a key driver for the planning and execution of the delivery of regulatory updates and new functionality, as well as the refinement of our localization/globalization strategy. You will be working closely with the R&D teams in several regions and with the AX team in Redmond and Fargo. In this role you will also represent the team in the global planning process and in the interaction with Sustained Engineering and UX. You will also represent GFM in Europe and Russia in presentations and interactions with customers and partners to support the successful deployment of AX. This is where you come in; if you are a highly motivated manager who is eager to make a divisional impact in helping us scale out the development of business applications. You will also be responsible for helping to drive resource allocation decisions across the global development organization and influencing product direction and strategy in the Microsoft Dynamics AX core product development teams. The ideal candidate has experience in developing and shipping Global packaged software products and would have gone through multiple product shipping cycles - ERP Products preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work across time zones are required in order to collaborate with teams across multiple domestic and international locations. The position reports to the Product Unit Manager Europe & Russia of the Dynamics GFM organization. Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience in a leading global engineering organizations - ERP Background Preferred Global Financials Applications/Accounting/ Taxation knowledge is plus Documented success in managing and growing a team of managers and experienced PMs Demonstrated experience in influencing key decision makers and achieving agreement across teams and regions Proven track record of successfully creating, building, and delivering large software engineering projects that span multiple geographies Demonstrated success for repeatedly driving Global features into the standard product Success in working with geographically distributed and different development teams Ability to build collaborative environments in distributed locations while holding groups accountable for results Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders (Program Management, Development, Test, peers groups) Strong collaboration, and execution skills and ability to manage multiple independent projects simultaneously. Experience with vendor management, establishing and tracking budgets 10% travel required Bachelors degree required in Computer Science or related field, Masters degree is a plus.
