The Intel Real Sense SDK team is delivering exciting new Real Sense products that will change the way people interact with computers! We are working to make computers more personal, helping developers to create application interfaces that are truly natural, and enabling computers to understand us the way we understand each other. The Intel RealSense SDK helps create the next generation of natural, immersive, and intuitive software applications that incorporate hand and finger tracking, facial analysis, speech, augmented reality, and 3D scanning.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Development Engineer with deep and broad experience, building products on Windows and/or Android. The successful candidate will have broad scope, working on a variety of cutting-edge technology including 2D and 3D data captured from our new 3D cameras, and integrating modules from a number of sources that include image processing, pattern recognition, video analytics, computer vision, and speech recognition. The candidate will also develop samples to show customers how to use our new capabilities, develop tests for automatic validation of modules, and optimize the performance of components on CPU and/or GPU.

Ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, strong problem solving skills, "can-do" attitude and will thrive in a highly exciting and dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Work closely in an agile team to deliver exciting new capabilities as part of the Intel RealSense SDK Windows and/or Android. Coordinate closely with other teams in Russia and Israel as needed to ensure smooth delivery of the RealSense SDK products.

- Integrate components from internal teams, and potentially work with external companies to integrate their technologies into the SDK, providing new capabilities and usages for our new 3D depth sensors.

- Create automated tests for components to enable agile development and high quality. Analyze and develop methods to enhance the performance and quality of the middleware.

- Review and implement necessary improvements to current or new architecture and Application Programming Interfaces (API's).

- Integrate CPU and GPU based algorithms to achieve best performance for current and next-generation architectures.

- Develop high quality Samples, Tools and Utilities to showcase SDK features in innovative ways and assist in creation of documentation in order to enhance developer experience.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job and/or research experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a BS degree or a MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical discipline.

Candidates should have at least 1+ years of work and/or educational experience/research with:

-Software programming C/C++,C# and or Java
-Software engineering practices including architecture, design, documentation, prototype, code, and developer unit testing
-Delivering products to real customers (OEMs and ISVs)

Preferred qualifications:

- Linux, or/and Android development environment
-Digital signal processing, facial analysis, gesture recognition, 3D depth algorithms, or speech processing
-Build systems, installers, scripting, Unit Test Systems such as NUnit, JUnit, etc
