Director, Demand Generation - Nitro - San Francisco, CA
In a nutshell, we’re searching for a rockstar to join a hardworking, fun team who has:
Hands-on, proven experience in demand generation across multiple sources and channels (web, email, events, SEM, etc.) with a solid track record of achieving and exceeding business resultsOut-of-the-box thinking ability around how to creatively and cost-effectively generate demand and attract new users across a variety of channels and target segmentsExperience successfully managing a team as well as the ability to operate cross-functionally in order to achieve both departmental and overall company objectivesWhat you’ll be doing:Oversee Nitro’s entire end-to-end demand generation, user acquisition, and conversion strategies, programs, and teams from conception and planning to execution and measurementDrive top-of-the-funnel demand while optimizing the middle of the funnel by leveraging creative content strategies and nurture programs that drive lead conversion and accelerate velocity through each stage of the funnel, ultimately delivering qualified leads to Nitro’s sales teams and helping drive both Online and Enterprise sales revenueDetermine and implement the most appropriate mix of marketing programs (email marketing, social media, webinars, etc.) targeting new and existing prospects in key segments and verticals to build the lead pipeline, increase qualified opportunity creation, and accelerate new user and customer acquisitionSet and manage all demand generation and user acquisition program objectives, performance, budget, and metrics to align with marketing goals and revenue targetsUse a test, measure, learn approach to iterate and optimize demand generation programs on an ongoing basis, including regular reporting of campaign activities, insights, and resultsOversee all Nitro web properties, all website traffic, and ensure ability to convert visitors into qualified leads and sales prospectsManage the use of marketing systems and platforms, including Salesforce, ExactTarget, Pardot, and Infer as well as the execution of effective lead scoring and nurturing programsAlign closely with Nitro’s sales team and management to define and roll out demand generation programs, provide sales enablement tools, support programs, and optimize ongoing processes and programs to maximize lead conversion and demand gen ROIEstablish monthly and quarterly marketing lead generation and pipeline creation targets with Sales and deliver on those targetsWork closely with other functions within the Marketing department to tie demand generation initiatives into the overall integrated marketing plan and ensure consistency of branding, messaging, and overall execution of demand gen initiativesChampion data quality as a key component of our prospect database, and grow and segment the database to run the most effective, ‘right-time, right-message’ targeted campaignsNegotiate, establish, and manage vendor and partner relationships as requiredWhat you are/have:
8+ years of marketing leadership experience of global inbound and outbound demand generation program creation, execution, measurement, analysis and reporting across channels, products, and verticals within a B2B/B2C software or technology company, with proven ability to consistently deliver strong measurable resultsFun, creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, team-oriented, and resourceful individual and leader with a passion for building businessesA mindset of optimization and testing – must have proven track record of constantly improving various demand gen strategies and tactics and making decisions based on objective data to keep refining programs and investmentsExcellent presentation, messaging, communication, and creative skillsStrong writing and copy editing skills – particularly as it relates to email and web copyAbility to manage multiple web properties with an emphasis on effective user experience, content, information architecture, design, and demand generationStrong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven track record of success and setting and achieving ambitious goalsExcellent people and project management skills with strong interpersonal and team-building capabilitiesAbility to matrix well across all organizational stakeholders at all levels, particularly Sales and ProductSuperior organizational and operational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while meeting deadlinesStrong hands-on experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and marketing automation platforms a mustFreemium model experience and experience marketing SaaS products are both highly desirableProven leadership and successful track record in setting priorities that reflect the overall goals of a business, as well as drilling into data to fully understand the demand generation machine to make necessary changes and recommendationsExperience creating and managing multichannel marketing budgets and processesWho we are:
