Product Manager - Nitro - San Francisco, CA
Responsibilities:
Identify, discover and confirm innovative and new concepts. Have the ability to distill many ideas into a critical few based on an overall opportunity assessment with clear value propositions.Take an idea from conception, champion it, and influence the executive team to approve it.Taking and outward-in approach, observe and understand customer pain points and unmet needs.Drive the a product and feature roadmap while managing prioritization and tradeoffs.Translate complex business goals into clearly documented and understandable requirements.Work side by side with the UX team to provide the best customer experience which will delight our customers.Be an expert in the targeted market and understand the market opportunity.Perform competitive analysis to aid in effectively positioning our offering versus that of other vendors.Effectively analyze a complex environment, arrive at the optimal conclusion and convince the stakeholders of your decision.Perform customer development exercises to validate and test strategies and plans on real world customers.Identify the need for and drive the completion of analysis of business opportunities such as participation in alternate sales channels or creation of new services or bundles—align the organization the resulting, optimal decision.Resolve tough problems by balancing the needs of many parties and making the right decision for the company without harming relationships across the organizationUse your strong writing and presentation skills to all levels of an organization, from executives to engineers to customers and partners.Evangelize, instill passion & diplomacy and be able to influence people without a direct reporting structure.Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Growth and Partners to drive revenue opportunities.Requirements:
Experience in startups or bringing an organic product from inception to production.Strong track record of identifying new, innovative ideas from conception to implementation.Background could be product management, technical co-founder, or related function. Online services or sharing & collaboration industry a plus but not required.Ability to develop ideas independently and conceptualize and synthesize data.MS/MBA/MA degree or equivalent related experience is preferred.Proven ability to excel as a cross-functional leader over complex projects and problems.Capable of quickly mastering new topics and making the best decision under time pressure when the stakes are high.Proven experience communicating with and achieving consistently good results in a development environment where teams are distributed globally.Takes initiative, searches for opportunities without guidance and embraces change and ambiguity.Challenges the status quo. Constantly curious and looks for ways to do things better.Balance strategy and attention to details.Experience working with an agile Engineering team.Ability to manage or mentor more junior PMs on the team.Who we are:
