Senior Russian Translator - SENTEL Corporation - Tysons Corner, VA

The Senior Russian Translator shall provide support to the IC. The Senior Russian Translator will be responsible for: Open source coordination and translation support for intelligence topics for multiple interagency working groups, analytic activities, innovative collection initiatives, and analytic production to include specialized Russian linguist analytic support to ongoing interagency projects. Working closely with Open Source Center (OSC) Staff employees on developing strategy, coordination, research and collection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Russian Translator shall demonstrate the following skills:

Support surges in work, such as staging multiple events simultaneously at different locations. Availability for meetings, consultations and any related tasking and deadlines. Ability to produce deliverables in formats as required by IC Customer staff leadership. Formats may include standard Microsoft documents (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint), electronic/soft copy matrices and/or web-enabled formats. Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to work effectively independently, in a team or collaborative environment. Ability to produce timely, logical, and concise work products. Ability to produce products requiring little or no editing. Ability to work with senior officials, to build and sustain professional networks in a diverse, fast -paced, multi-task environment, and to manage competing priorities. Be adaptable and flexible to perform a range of t asks and work with many different offices and organizations across the IC. Be proactive in developing innovative ideas and in communicating them effectively to Government sponsors. Strong grammar that requires little or no editing. Strong communication and organizational skills. Other duties that may be assigned to meet company and departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, the Senior Russian Translator shall have the following education and experience:

Fluency in speaking, reading and/or writing Russian. Bachelor's degree or higher. 10 years of work experience related to the technical requirement (SOW Section) against which the individual is slated to perform. 3 years of experience working in the Intelligence Community. The following are DESIRED qualifications for this position: Residency in Russia with the acquisition of first-hand knowledge of Russian science and technology research practices. Proven successes in hardcopy and Internet-based research, information, and publication management. Demonstrated experience working with the Open Source Center and a familiarity with the operations of the Intelligence Community.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Certificate, Licenses, Registration, Clearance:

Active TS/SCI clearance

Computer Skills:

Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and presentation software (i.e. - Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
