JavaScript Engineer - MetaCommunications - Iowa City, IA
We are an established company with a large customer base that is looking for a full-time JavaScript developer to join our small, focused team. We are currently building the next generation of applications for marketing & creative teams, using JavaScript for full system development including UI, server business logic and everything in between.
Position
We are looking for somebody who has a genuine interest in programming, user interface design, and, of course, JavaScript. Whether you are a seasoned developer or just starting your career, if that combination piques your interest, we'd love to talk to you!
If you join us, you will:
Use JavaScript on both server and client side to implement new features, product improvements, and customer-specific workflows.Work on UX specs and mockups for new features.Work on proof-of-concepts using new libraries, frameworks or technologies.Have an opportunity to work with other languages and technologies we use (Python, C#, .NET).Have an opportunity to take on technical leadership responsibilities in your areas of interest/expertise.Be able to take on as many engineering challenges as you would like to.Learn a lot.Have fun!Skills & Requirements
We'd like to see:
1+ years of programming experience.Basic knowledge and understanding of the software development process.High motivation, self-initiative, and a 'can do' attitude.Desire to work in agile environment where everyone matters.Any of the following skills are a plus:

The Interview
There is another thing we are known for: our technical interviews. We give you a computer, a screen, a keyboard, and ask you to solve a programming problem in real time, using your favorite programming language. You can ask us questions, bounce off your ideas, and even use Google to lookup the details of an API or a particular language construct.
