The Trade Compliance Manager
Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for the export classification of encrypted products, ensuring all technology is exported n compliance with the EAR.

Position Responsibilities:
Import, export, logistics and trade compliance
Comply with US EAR upon export from USA.Classify product, HTS, ECCN, CCATS, etc.Compliant importation of products into foreign countries, dealing effectively with foreign customs regimes. Good, current understanding of the country-specific importing process , especially for China, Russia, Brazil and other countries with stringent importing regulations .Keep current on US and Foreign import and export requirements pertaining to PHT’s products, ensuring compliance with the US CBP and 19 CFR.Review products for export, ensuring that all end users are screened against the US DPL and that no shipments are sent to embargoed destinations.Build and operate PHT Reverse Logistics, ensuring all devices are returned to PHT upon completing of each project.Participate in RFQ (request for quotation) with carriers and logistics vendors.
Interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping; apply for and maintain necessary certifications and licenses for import/export control.
Serve as the subject matter expert on Import, Export and Trade Compliance Issues.
Interface effectively with Client Services to understand the unique logistics requirements for each study and build a delivery plan accordingly.
Supply Chain design
Training of Logistics and non-Logistics personnel

Leadership
Lead small team of Import/Export specialists.
Share logistics expertise with Client Services and Production teams.
Attend internal meetings as required to support logistics function.
Create, maintain and ensure compliance with PHT’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for production, project monitoring, shipments and returns, and all other applicable procedures and practices.
Establish new SOPs and work instructions for production & logistics functions where applicable. Update SOPs and work instructions to implement best practices.
Regularly meet with Production Management to review project status and logistics issues and receive communication on new initiatives, processes and company updates.

Customer Satisfaction
Track multiple issues to successful resolution.
Provide updates to customers via conference call, email and occasional in-person meetings.
Provide timely responses to questions from clients regarding logistics and active shipments and returns.
Review on-time and delayed international shipments and returns and expedite as required.
Troubleshoot and resolve customs delays.
Education Minimum : Four year college degree or equivalent experience, Customs Broker License preferred

Required Skills and Experience :
Minimum of four years successfully handling domestic and international logistics issues (Import Export and trade Compliance)
Excellent knowledge of US HTS/Tariff Schedule, ECCN classification and EAR Compliance, Export Screening, Valuation, Country of origin, US and foreign entry process
Proven experience in client relations; comfortable interacting with clients.
Familiarity with FDA regulatory processes and clinical research processes???????
Self directed - comfortable working in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Languages are a plus
