Description

Janssen, Pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is looking for a Health Economics Specialist.

Overview:

The person will be responsible for delivering relevant data and tools to meet Business Unit/ HTA/ reimbursement/ funding and Market Access needs within the company.

Major Responsibilities

Approx. % of Time Required

Design health economics models that incorporate market, available epidemiological and clinical data

Prepare health economic submissions to regulatory authorities to support reimbursement listing, hospital formulary submission, tender submission, and applications for new indications, line extensions, new pack sizes, new formulations, and price increases

Monitor changes in the external environment (regulatory/reimbursement changes, managed care arrangements) and advise senior management on threats and opportunities with suggested action plans

Key Job Activities:
- Given recent trends and potential health economy development in the country for future (short term prognosis: 1 year and long term: 3-5 years).
- Increase of the Existing Network within local Payers and KOLs
- Prepare health economic submissions to regulatory authorities to support reimbursement listing, hospital formulary submission, tender submission, and applications for new indications, line extensions, new pack sizes, new formulations, and price increases.
- Understand and follow Johnson & Johnson Credo.
- Conduct planning workshops with key opinion leaders to determine the appropriate health economics’ endpoints and outcome measures and disease specific quality of life questionnaires for incorporation in the strategy.
- Liaise with the Medicines Russia external consultants to ensure that the company is regarded as a leader in providing quality Health Economics submissions and policy input.
- Form collaborative relationships with health economic professionals both in Russia and CIS and globally.
- Monitor changes in the external environment (regulatory/reimbursement changes, managed care arrangements) and advise senior management on threats and opportunities with suggested action plans.
- Work with sales and marketing to develop health economics and cost effectiveness arguments into interactive computer programs and other promotional tools for sales representative use.
- Form the necessary alliances with corporate head office colleagues and ensure that any Australian specific requirements are included in global protocols

Distribution partner management:
- Analyze new markets in terms of the creation of optimal ……..
- Recommend and implement
- Closely work with external/internal partners until their transition to the local Janssen management resolving operational issues, helping them to develop Janssen business, getting and analyzing sales data, making sales forecasting and monitoring of cash flow

Organization development:
- Recommend and implement the essential local Organizational structure required for launch
- Grow capability of local Janssen (or Distributor based) employees

Marketing/External Affairs/HCC:
- Support Distribution partners and existing Janssen local employees in implementation of essential Marketing initiatives to support Pull
- Ensure that Janssen company has a necessary communication with local stakeholders
- Make sure that in each country both Janssen employees and all partners make business in a compliant way

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

Education: Economics or Analytical (Post graduate university degree in Economics) / Medical (Science or Medicine or Biological)

Experience: 2+ years of work in external affairs or relevant department in a pharmaceutical company

Expert knowledge of healthcare system funding

In Russia and preferably understanding of Western Europe, and global systems

Knowledge: Requires expertise in healthcare economics areas
