The Center on the United States and Europe (CUSE) at Foreign Policy at Brookings is seeking a part-time Spring 2015 Intern to assist with research projects, events, and administrative and outreach activities.
Responsibilities
Daily tasks will include researching developing issues in Europe and Eurasia, summarizing and synthesizing documents, maintaining contact databases, monitoring current developments in relevant research areas, attending events, briefing senior fellows and support staff, and general administrative support.
The internship is based in Washington, DC, and will last from January 19 to May 22. Please note that all internships are unpaid.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have a demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas: the European Union, transatlantic relations, and European security issues. Knowledge of the European Union, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and/or Germany a plus. English fluency required; proficiency in additional language(s), especially Russian, German, French, or Turkish desired.
Graduate students, recent graduates, or senior undergraduate students working towards a degree in a relevant field (e.g., international affairs, foreign policy, international security, political science, international law) are encouraged to apply.
