Logistics Manager - Retail - MCM Worldwide - New York, NY

The brand has beautiful architect-designed boutiques in cities such as London, Berlin, Athens and Beijing, and is sold by prestigious retailers in key markets such as the USA, the UK, Russia and Dubai, as well as Italy and Germany. We are a worldwide company with over 70 stores in nearly 35 countries and eight offices all over the world.

The ideal candidate will be based in our NYC office, and should posses the following criteria:

Responsibilities:

Oversee and direct daily logistical operations, related to costing, purchasing, import, customs clearance, planning, forecasting and invoicing for US.

Responsible for the negotiation of terms for all freight forwarding companies to ensure proper service is rendered.

Responsible for all activities related to importation of company products, from the time they arrive from production through delivery to the final customer in the US.

Responsible for assisting with all export requests, including return of samples, requests for special shipments, etc.

Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with the Wholesale, Retail, Finance, & Marketing teams.

Responsible for providing efficient reporting tools and must be able to provide KPI's.

Provide proper updates pertaining to shipments, deliveries, etc.

Oversee and manage the daily activities of direct report.

Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree required
-5+ years of logistics experience within the fashion/luxury goods industry, preferred.
-Custom broker arbitration experience is preferred
-Ability to adapt appropriately to competing demands and shifting priorities
-Excellent analytical skills
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
-Strong PC Skills ( All Microsoft Office applications)
-Well developed written and verbal communication skills
-Knowledge of SAP, preferred.
-Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team oriented environment
