The Kinross Kettle River-Buckhorn Operation is located in the State of Washington. The operation mines and processes ore from eight separate deposits in four local production centers. The Buckhorn mine continues to be a flagship operation for the company, having being highly awarded for leadership in low-impact mine development.

Position Summary and Responsibilities The Maintenance Tradesperson III will perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum performance and availability. All job duties must be performed in a safe and efficient manner. The individual will perform the essential duties listed below, as well as other assignments assigned to the maintenance crew.

Repair mobile equipment, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems 24 volt,
Perform major repairs on mobile equipment, transmissions, engines, hydraulics Drills ,
Operate heavy equipment and vehicles.
Document repair procedures, parts used or required hours required for repairs, readings taken on equipment, work order completion, preventative maintenance reports, purchase requisitions, and other documentation as required.
Perform oxy-acetylene cutting using proper and safe methods of welding operations.
Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment, and perform minor repairs and service equipment (oil, fuel, hydraulic levels) as required.
Perform fabrication as required.
Maintain shop area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Place parts on shelf when received from warehouse.
Assist others with repairs as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
In depth understanding of hydraulic drill repairs
Desired Skills and Qualifications Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience
Prior welding and cutting experience preferred.
Previous underground mobile maintenance experience or maintenance trade school attendance preferred.
One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous mining experience desirable. Skills
Basic computer skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and understand equipment service, repair and parts manuals.
