The Role

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic individual to become a key contributor to our Samepage Cloud Ops team. In this role you will work cross-functionally with Cloud Ops, Development, Technical Support, Sales and Product Management teams to ensure that Samepage keeps humming like a top.

The position is based in our headquarters in downtown San Jose, California but will require occasional trips to our remote data centers and to our office in Plzen, Czech Republic.

What you’ll be doing

Improving our cloud infrastructure, working in a team with members across the globe, and cross- functionally with developers and others in our offices in the Czech Republic and elsewhere.
The care and feeding of our Samepage environment:
Monitoring operations
Upgrades
Maintenance work
Troubleshooting problems

Skills required

3 to 7 years of relevant experience
Knowledge and experience administering Linux-based systems (Debian/Ubuntu), databases
The ability to configure and troubleshoot network configurations
Scripting skills (Python, shell scripts, etc.)
Ability/availability to travel occasionally to our European offices for technical discussions

Additional wow-factors:

Exposure to, and understanding of, security compliance and best practices under prevalent regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA and/or SOX
Being conversant in developers lingo
Ability to describe cloud ops matters to sales people
