Claims Specialist

Maersk Group is a global diversified organization with headquarters in Copenhagen. With over 110,000 people in more than 125 countries and 325 cities world-wide. Maersk Group is engaged in shipping, oil and gas exploration and production, shipbuilding, aviation, retail and other businesses.

The Saint-Petersburg office is looking to fill a position of Claims Specialist, Customer Service department. The job holder will be reporting to the Russia Cluster Claims Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform pre-claims tasks of Maersk Line claims handling processEnsure timely and accurate handing of incoming claimsAssist to company lawyer in collecting data/documentsPrepare and follow up claims against 3rd partiesParticipate in communication with regards to vessel incidentsDevelop and promote claim prevention practicesAssist colleagues on claims questionsEnsure timely follow-up and system updatesOverlook invoice payments to vendors

Skills and Competencies required:

Higher education in maritime law is an advantagePrevious experience in shipping industry, shipping knowledge, claims and legal expertise is an advantageProfessional PC skills - Microsoft OfficeAbility to work under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent English)Strong drive, commitment and sense of urgency.Open mindExcellent communication skills
